Following the release of the SG's For Lovers Only / Rain Suite in October 2023, Andrew Pekler asked some artists he admires to interpret any of the pieces from the album in their own style. First up, LA/NY-based duo Salenta + Topu re-harmonize several melodic motifs from the Rain Suite in their Rain Rendition – a knotty, winding jam of piano and cello. Next, Jamie Hodge (Born Under A Rhyming Planet) makes a very rare outing with Rain 33 Version, which gently rewinds the implied rain back into moody clouds of piano and static. Lastly, Andrew Pekler himself contributes a new track called Waiting For The Tide, which seems to point to the possibility of Surf Suite as the next SG release?
